Biography
Scott Heersche serves as Pastor of Worship for Centenary Church in Lexington, KY. He oversees all worship and music related ministry in the church. With music degrees from Indiana University/Bloomington (M.M.) and the University of Kentuc
ky (B.M.), Scott leads as a conductor, vocalist, guitarist, and trumpeter. Scott has also served as Director of Worship Arts for Hay Street Church (Fayettevile, NC) and Associate Music Director for Centenary.
Scott provides direct leadership and direction to the Centenary Worship Choir and "Inside-Out" student choir. Since 2007, He has worked diligently with one of the finest worship and music staff teams in KY to provide weekly inspirational worship experiences for all. He has served as worship director for the KY United Methodist Annual Conference Meetings, and provided special worship leadership and direction of a state-wide mass choir for the induction service of Bishop Lindsey Davis in 2009.
Scott regularly writes new music for worship, including original contemporary songs of witness and praise, as well as new arrangements of beloved hymns of the faith. To listen to samples of his original music click here.
Scott and his wife, Jennifer, are both graduates of Lafayette High School in Lexington, and love raising their two sons, Ryan and Samuel here in this great community.
