As Pastor of Worship at Centenary Church, Scott Heersche directs the Worship Choir, leads worship, and oversees all aspects of music and worship in the church. 

Having been raised in Lexington, Scott is a graduate of Lafayette High School, the University of KY School of Music, and holds a Masters in Trumpet Performance from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Scott has served as Director of Worship Arts for Hay Street Church in Fayetteville, NC, and previously served on Centenary's staff as Associate Director of Music. He has also served on the faculties of UK (Interim Professor of Trumpet), Transylvania University (Adjunct Trumpet Instructor and Jazz Ensemble Director), and Methodist University (Fayetteville, NC).

Scott also writes and arranges music for worship and for brass. He is available as a freelance trumpeter for weddings, ceremonies and concert events.
